Are there annual costs for this device?

There is currently an annual fee of just $49.99. This covers the real-time text messaging capability of the device. Service can be unsubscribed at any time.

Once unsubscribed, your unit would lose text messaging capability and the ability to adjust the temperature sensor and other input customization, but the unit will continue to sound the audible alarm for any inputs and temperature thresholds you previously set and would chirp when low batteries are detected.
